What does this qualification cover?
The skills and knowledge required to install electrotechnical systems and equipment in buildings, structures and the environment. The qualification is made up of knowledge units and performance units. The units cover a wide range of topics including health and safety, environmental technology systems, overseeing and organising the work environment, planning, preparing and installing electrical systems and equipment, terminating and connecting conductors, cables and flexible cords, inspecting, testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis and correction. Integral to this qualification is the Electrotechnical Occupational Competence Unit which is assessed by the AM2. The units are:

These units have 9 online exams, 3 in-centre practical assessments and 1 centre marked assignments. Learners will have to develop a portfolio of works for required performance evidences and pass AM2 assessment in order to complete the course.
Fees for this course is £5000 + VAT total of £6000. Fees for AM2 assessment is excluded from this course fees and it is payable directly to the AM2 assessment centre upon booking an assessment.
Course Delivery method and Duration:
This course is delivered via range of delivery methods including zoom sessions, in-centre classroom and lab training and assessments, self-paced distance learning reading and site visits.
Who can join this course?
Learners must have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy to comply with the health and safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the learning outcomes and the assessments. Minimum age requirement for enrolment is 16 years but suitable site experience is required.
