BS7671:2018+A2:2022 - Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations - 18th Edition ( C&G 2382)

Course Overview

This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals eg surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations.

The 18th Edition course, also known as the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018+A2:2022, is a comprehensive course that provides students with a thorough understanding of the wiring regulations required for domestic and commercial electrical installation work.

In addition to the classroom lectures, students can complete numerous practice questions to boost their confidence and familiarize themselves with the exam methodology.

Course Content

This course will cover the following units:

1. Understand the scope, object and fundamental principles of BS 7671.

2. Understand the definitions used within BS 7671. 

3. Understand how to assess the general characteristics of electrical installations.

4. Understand requirements of protection for safety for electrical installations.

5. Understand the requirements for the selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations.

Level 3 Certificate In Installing, Testing and Ensuring Compliance of Electrical Installation in Dwelling (LCL 7876)

Course Overview

This qualification is for people who want to develop the skills and knowledge to become a Registered Competent Operative or Qualified Supervisor for Competent Person Schemes in the UK. It is based on the IET Wiring Regulations and other electrical safety standards.

This course will cover the following units:

Q3001 - Understand and Apply Health and Safety legislation, practices and procedures in electrical installations.

Q3002 - Understand and apply environmental legislation, working practices and the principles of environmental technology systems associated with electrical installations.

Course Overview

This EAL Level 3 course provides a comprehensive understanding of the theory and practice involved in the initial verification and commissioning of low voltage electrical installations, covering both single-phase and three-phase systems. It equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to inspect electrical installations before they are energised, ensuring they comply with the latest regulations and safety standards.

Course Content

The course will cover the specific methods of inspecting and testing electrical installations of all types, including single-phase and three-phase, to the latest requirements of BS 7671. It will also cover the inspection and testing techniques as given in IET Guidance Note 3, and how to professionally complete electrical certification and reports.

The test is a 90 miniutes multiple-choice, online examination. The exam is open book, meaning that you will be able to refer to the 18th Edition wiring regulations, GN-3 and Onsite Guide books during the exam process. Pass marks set to approximately 60%.
